Arab Weather - Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest advanced computer outputs indicate a recent shift in the shape of weather systems in the Northern Hemisphere. Consequently, the eastern Mediterranean basin is being affected by unstable weather conditions, with its effects extending to the Levant, particularly Syria and Lebanon.

A state of instability is affecting the coasts of Syria and Lebanon, due to a weak air depression.

Weather maps indicate that a weak, upper-level low pressure system is sweeping southward into Turkey, touching the Mediterranean Sea. It will affect Turkey and Cyprus and cause unstable weather conditions, bringing heavy thunderstorms and strong winds.

However, the same forecasts indicate that the effects of the weather situation will extend to the Levant, in the form of atmospheric instability, especially along the coasts of Syria and Lebanon, starting Tuesday evening and continuing on Wednesday. The chances of rainfall are increasing, and heavy thunderstorms are likely at times, particularly in coastal areas of Syria, such as Latakia and its surrounding areas. This calls for caution regarding heavy rainfall, which will result in rising water levels in some neighborhoods.

As for Palestine, low clouds are expected to increase, particularly at dawn and on Wednesday morning, which may result in some scattered local rain showers on parts of the Palestinian coast and some inland areas.
