In addition to this are Palestinian terebinth, hawthorn, sumac, fir, cedar, salmon, sidr, cypress, doum and wild pear. Among the prominent tourist and archaeological landmarks in Barqash, the forests stand out, in addition to what is known as “Ras Barqash,” which rises about 875 meters above sea level and provides stunning views of northern Jordan, the Hauran Plains, Mount Hermon, Mount Carmel, the Baysan Valley, and the Jenin District in Palestine.
The Barqash site also includes a wildlife reserve located in the northeastern part of Mount Barqash, extending over an area of 20,000 dunams. The wildlife within this reserve is diverse with multiple types of wild deer, brown deer (Il Dama), and mountain sheep, numbering 500. Deer The reserve also includes various types of wild birds, including the pheasant, partridge, turkey, and peacock.
