Arab Weather - The Algerian Research Center for Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Geophysics recorded an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale on Sunday evening, which struck the eastern province of Tebessa.
The center explained that the earthquake occurred 10 kilometers southeast of the Negrin region, in Tebessa province, near the Tunisian border.
The tremor was felt by a large number of residents in the eastern states, causing concern among citizens, especially in areas close to the epicenter.
Local authorities are monitoring developments, intensifying monitoring and assessment operations in anticipation of any potential aftershocks.
