Arab Weather - The Japan Meteorological Agency announced that an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.4 on the Richter scale struck off the northeastern coast of Japan on Monday afternoon.

The agency warned of the possibility of tsunami waves up to 3 meters high in Iwate Prefecture and parts of Hokkaido.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) announced that a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck off the east coast of Honshu, Japan, on Monday.
