Arab Weather - The latest numerical model outputs indicate that the Kingdom will continue to be affected in the coming days by a relatively hot air mass, followed by the influx of a cooler air mass coming from the eastern Mediterranean Sea in the middle of the week, which will cause a noticeable drop in temperatures to become lower than their average for this time of year, and spring weather returns over various regions of the Kingdom, especially over the mountains, while it tends to be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the city of Aqaba, coinciding with the appearance of clouds at different altitudes.
Temperatures remain 8-10 degrees Celsius higher than average for this time of year. The weather will be relatively hot in the highlands and hot in the rest of the country, while it will be extremely hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, Aqaba, and the eastern Badia. Highs in major cities and the capital, Amman, will range between the early to mid-thirties Celsius, while they will reach the early forties Celsius in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Temperatures tend to drop to around their average for this time of year or slightly higher, with highs dropping below the mid-30s in the capital, Amman, and reaching the high 20s. The weather will be warm during the day in the mountains, tending to heat up during the afternoon and evening hours, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be westerly to southwesterly, active in speed, stirring up dust waves in the desert areas, especially from the south and east of the Kingdom.
The drop in temperature is not limited to the daytime hours. Nighttime temperatures also drop, and the weather becomes pleasant early in the evening, becoming relatively cold during the late evening and early morning hours, especially over the high mountains and eastern plains. This calls for attention to the large temperature differences between day and night.
Indicators indicate that the Kingdom is being affected by a cooler, more humid air mass coming across the eastern Mediterranean basin. As a result, temperatures will continue to drop and become cooler than average. The weather will be spring-like during the daytime, with clouds appearing at low and medium altitudes. Westerly winds will be active in several areas, causing dust storms in the south and east of the Kingdom.
Nighttime temperatures will drop, and the weather will be cold in the late evening hours and early morning, which necessitates wearing a coat, especially for those living in the highlands. This coincides with a significant increase in surface humidity levels and the spread of low clouds, which may lead to the formation of fog over some high mountainous areas.
And God knows best.
