As a result of strong winds, dryness and disintegration of the soil, it is expected that a very dense dust wave will form in northeastern Saudi Arabia, specifically the Al-Jawf region, starting from the late morning hours and during the afternoon hours of Thursday. Trebil borders with Iraq, and the effects of the dusty wave reach the west of Anbar Governorate, specifically the Al-Rutba area and the Jordanian-Iraqi borders, and with the noon and afternoon hours, the dense dust wave extends towards the east and central Syrian lands and includes parts of Damascus countryside, Homs and Hama and later expands towards the northern regions, including parts of the city Aleppo.
According to preliminary indicators, dust is also expected to reach the south of Turkish territory at the border areas with northern Syria during the hours of Thursday evening.
The dense dust wave is accompanied by a significant decrease in the range of horizontal vision that may reach the point of zero, so the Arab Weather website advises drivers on roads that witness a lot of dust to reduce speed and take the necessary precautions to deal with the dusty weather, and patients with respiratory and eye diseases are advised to close windows and avoid getting out of the house.
