Arab Weather - Computer models at the Arab Weather Center indicate that large parts of Turkey will be affected by a late and unusual low-pressure system for this time of year, accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures and much colder weather than usual, in addition to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in many areas.
During the early morning and daytime hours of Sunday, some secondary effects of this low-pressure system are expected to extend towards areas of northern Syria, particularly the Syrian coast and its highlands.
Therefore, cloud cover is expected to gradually increase, leading to partly to mostly cloudy skies, with rainfall expected in many areas along the Syrian coast, the coastal highlands, and some inland regions. This rainfall may be heavy at times in certain areas and could be accompanied by thunderstorms and hail in some regions, increasing the risk of flash floods and rising water levels in low-lying areas.
Some effects also extend to a limited extent towards Lebanon, where there is a chance of scattered showers from time to time in some areas.
It is noted that this low-pressure system is late and unusual for this time of year, but its effects on the Levant remain limited, mainly concentrated on the coastal areas and some inland areas of Syria, in addition to limited parts of Lebanon, while Jordan and Palestine are far from it.
And God knows best.
