Absence of winter weather patterns contributes to alleviating the burden on displaced people in the Gaza Strip

Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest data indicate the absence of major winter weather patterns in the Gaza Strip, like other areas of the eastern Mediterranean basin, as temperatures in the twenties prevail in the Strip and the weather is less cold than in previous days, which contributes to alleviating the suffering of tent dwellers.

Gaza: Warm and sunny weather across the Strip these days

In detail, God willing, in the coming days, the Gaza Strip is expected to continue to be affected by a warmer air mass, with less cold weather prevailing than in previous days, and temperatures will be between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius during the daytime hours, and the winds will be light to moderate in speed, and the sea will be calm.

Although the weather is warm during the day, the weather remains cold in various regions during the night hours and becomes cold in the late night and dawn.

The recent low pressure system caused tents to flood, and the absence of winter patterns alleviates the suffering.

During the recent weather conditions, the Gaza Strip witnessed an increase in the suffering of its residents, as more than 110,000 tents were affected due to the severe deterioration in the weather conditions, which led to the destruction of the tents and the rise in the level of cold. These conditions caused the death of seven people, including six children, due to the freezing of their limbs in tragic scenes that shook everyone's feelings.

While the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip was tragic due to the depressions, it is noticeable that the Levant regions are beginning to witness a change in weather conditions, as the winter depressions have moved away from the region, and temperatures have risen compared to the past days. This change may be an opportunity for the region to alleviate some of the effects of the severe cold, although the situation is still difficult.

As temperatures rise, there may be an opportunity to restore tents that have been severely damaged by the bitter cold, which would be an important step in alleviating the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. However, the lack of financial resources may hinder the implementation of this measure, which requires urgent humanitarian support to meet the needs of the affected population.
