Arab Weather - Several Arab countries are expected to experience unstable weather conditions over the next few days due to the expansion of humid tropical masses. This will lead to the formation of cumulonimbus clouds and varying amounts of rainfall, concentrated in areas of the Arabian Gulf, Yemen, and parts of North Africa.
Forecasts indicate that humid air will continue to flow from tropical regions toward the southwestern highlands of Saudi Arabia, especially in Jazan and Asir. Cumulus clouds are expected to increase in the afternoon and evening hours, with thunderstorms, sometimes heavy, falling within narrow geographical areas, accompanied by hail, and the possibility of flash floods in some valleys.
In Yemen, unstable weather continues over the western and southern highlands, with a chance of varying rainfall due to cumulus cloud activity. This coincides with active winds in some desert areas, which may stir up dust and dirt.
In the Sultanate of Oman, the humid monsoon winds are expected to continue affecting the Al Hajar Mountains, leading to the formation of cumulus clouds and scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. This condition is expected to persist over the coming days.
These clouds may extend to the eastern and southern regions of the UAE, particularly the mountainous areas, without directly impacting major cities and coasts.
In South Sudan, weather models indicate that large parts of the country will be affected over the weekend by an extension of a humid tropical system, leading to significant cumulus cloud activity, accompanied by intermittent heavy thunderstorms, particularly in the central and southern regions. These thunderstorms will raise local water levels and cause flash floods, with the potential for limited flooding. Therefore, caution is advised, especially near waterways.
Weather forecasts indicate continued atmospheric instability across parts of northern Morocco, northern Algeria, and central and northern Tunisia during the afternoon and evening hours of the coming days. Local thunderstorms are expected to form, possibly accompanied by showers and active surface winds, but without any overall impact on the entire region.
And God knows best.
