A source confirmed to "Al-Mamlaka", on Wednesday, about testimonies indicating the presence of more than 10 people under the rubble of the building, and the search is underway to rescue them.

 

The Minister of State for Information Affairs, the official spokesman for the government, Faisal al-Shboul, indicated that "information about the presence of 10 people who are still under the rubble in the collapsed building in Weibdeh, including people who are alive."

He said that "Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh directed an investigation into the incident of the collapse of the building," stressing that "search operations are continuing at the site of the collapse of the Al-Weibdeh building."

“The nature of the place is rugged, the buildings are close together, and the corridors are narrow,” according to Shboul.

Civil Defense Director Hatem Jaber said that "more than 300 civil defense personnel participated in the search for those trapped under the rubble," explaining that "civil defense personnel will not rest until the last body is removed from under the rubble."

A drone was used to monitor the surroundings of the collapsed building, and search and rescue personnel used dogs to search for and rescue the injured.
