Al-Adayleh: Starting tomorrow morning, Tuesday, it will start delivering basic supplies to citizens

Weather of Arabia - In a press briefing held this afternoon, Monday, the Minister of State for Information Affairs confirmed that the curfew will continue until further notice and we must prepare ourselves for a difficult stage as we announced before.

Important statements by the Minister of State for Media Affairs through an important press brief:

• Since yesterday, there has been a series of continuous meetings, for the Government Business Continuity Team, headed by His Excellency Minister Nidal Al-Bataineh, to discuss mechanisms for communicating the basic needs of citizens, specifically (bread, drinking water, and medicines)
• There is no ideal model for delivering these services to citizens at the time the curfew was imposed, but His Majesty - may God protect him - directed us to present a Jordanian model that befits the dignity of the Jordanian citizen and contributes to preserving his health and safety.
• Starting tomorrow morning, Tuesday, it will start the delivery of basic supplies to citizens (bread, drinking water, and medicine) in addition to what we announced earlier in the distribution of gas and diesel and the opening of some fuel stations.
• We have heard many proposals and initiatives from citizens and companies, which are under study and scrutiny, and we will take possible from them.
• We confirm that what was circulated yesterday and today on social media on the mechanisms for the delivery of basic materials is not accurate.
• What has been decided today is that we will deliver bread through municipalities and water distribution companies, and large companies that used to deliver food supplies to groceries.
• The bakeries will start operating since Tuesday dawn, but there will be no direct sale to citizens.
• Citizens can obtain bread through vehicles authorized to be distributed, which will reach the homes of citizens.
• Pharmacies will open from Tuesday morning, but you will not sell directly to citizens, but rather will deliver medicines, medical materials, infant formula and other supplies through the delivery service, and after direct contact to request the necessary needs.
• Drinking water will be delivered to the citizens to their homes, through direct contact with the water selling stations available in the various governorates of the Kingdom.
• Delivery of essential items until the end of this week will be limited to (water, bread, medicines and pharmacy supplies) only.
• The Business Continuity team will continue its meetings to come up with mechanisms for the delivery of other ration and basic materials for citizens, and additional solutions for the process of communicating needs to citizens.
• At the end of this week, we will reveal the mechanism for distributing these materials, in cooperation with the private sector, through an electronic application, which we will announce later, and we will cooperate with delivery companies to deliver these materials.
