Weather and climate researcher and member of the Climate Nomenclature Committee, Abdulaziz Al-Hussaini, revealed the astronomical dates for the upcoming seasons in Saudi Arabia. Autumn begins on Rabi' al-Thani 1, 1447 AH, corresponding to September 23, 2025, with a gradual transition from the summer heat to moderate weather across various regions of the Kingdom.
Al-Hussaini points out that the Wasm season, one of the most important rainy seasons in Saudi Arabia, begins on Rabi' al-Thani 24, 1447 AH, corresponding to October 16, 2025. The season is known for its heavy rainfall, which helps revitalize the land and renew agricultural activity, making it a vital season for farmers and citizens.
The Al-Murabba'aniyah season, known for its cold and long nights, begins on 16 Jumada al-Thani 1447 AH, corresponding to December 7, 2025. It will be followed by astronomical winter on 2 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to December 22, 2025, bringing the Kingdom into extremely cold weather for several months, affecting daily life, agriculture, and travel.
Al-Hussaini stressed the importance of following weather and seasonal weather news through official channels, emphasizing that awareness of the seasons helps plan daily and agricultural activities, prepare for winter, and benefit from rainfall and natural pastures.
