The CEO of Arab Weather said that it is not unlikely that snow showers will fall in the morning hours of Tuesday, January 13, 2026, over the high northern and central mountain peaks, which include the peaks of the Jerash and Ajloun mountains such as Abein, Abileen and the Al-Qa’ida Triangle, the mountain peaks in Balqa such as Umm Al-Jawza, and the peaks of the capital Amman such as the Sweileh area and the University of Jordan, in addition to the high mountains in the Mafraq Governorate adjacent to Jabal Al-Arab (the heights of Deir Al-Kahf and its surroundings).

He added that the accumulation of these showers may be temporary and for a short period only, with a higher probability for the northern peaks, and therefore widespread snowfall is not expected.

And in the afternoon hours, precipitation is expected to extend to parts of the Tafila Governorate in the form of snow showers over the peaks of Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Rashadiyah.

The precipitation is also expected to include snow showers on the peaks of the Sharah Mountains, including Rashadiyah and Qadisiyah in the Tafilah Governorate, and the peaks of Shobak, Petra District, Southern Taybeh and the west of Ma’an Governorate, with the possibility of freezing on the peaks of the Sharah Mountains.
