The Council of Ministers approved a decision setting the Eid al-Fitr holiday for a week, to start the official holiday of the federal government from Saturday, April 30, until Friday, May 6, 2022.
The official holiday decision includes all ministries and federal agencies in the UAE, provided that the official working hours of the federal government will resume on Monday, May 9, 2022.
The number of days of Eid al-Fitr 2022 for employees is up to 9 days, and they are as follows:
The Department of Human Resources in Sharjah has approved amending the date of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday to start from Saturday, April 30, and until Thursday, May 5, provided that official working hours will resume on Monday, May 9, 2022.
The department clarified that this circular comes in addition to Circular No. /4/ of 2022 regarding the Eid Al Fitr holiday 1443.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that the period from Ramadan 29 until Shawwal 3, 1443 AH and corresponding to the Gregorian date will be a paid holiday for all workers in the private sector in the country on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
This comes based on the Cabinet's decision regarding official holidays.
