4- Derna disaster
It is considered one of the worst disasters in the history of Libya. The disaster occurred last September 10, after the collapse of dams in the Derna Valley as a result of the heavy rains that accompanied Storm Daniel, which led to partial destruction in the city, and the number of deaths exceeded 4,000 deaths and thousands of missing people.
5-Storm Daniel
A Mediterranean storm affected several countries, including Libya, on September 10. It caused large amounts of rain, which were extremely heavy in some areas, and was accompanied by strong winds. It also affected Greece, Turkey, and Bulgaria.
6-Cyclone Tej
A tropical cyclone formed in the southern Arabian Sea. It moved towards Oman and Yemen. It made landfall on October 23, accompanied by heavy rains and strong winds. It also led to some deaths and destruction of infrastructure, especially in the Al-Mahra and Socotra governorates in Yemen.
7- Record numbers as a result of high temperatures
Many numbers were shattered as a result of the significant rise in temperatures during last summer, as the temperature in the Jordanian capital, Amman, reached 43.7 degrees Celsius, on August 14, which is the highest temperature recorded in the capital in the history of the Kingdom, as the capital Algiers and the capital Tunis recorded every year. Including 49 degrees Celsius this summer, which is the highest in the history of their climate records. In mid-August, Agadir in southern Morocco recorded a record temperature of 50.4, and it was described as the highest ever in the Kingdom.
