China issues a `yellow` warning for floods

The center added that some parts of the aforementioned areas will witness heavy rains of up to 70 millimeters per hour, accompanied by thunderstorms, strong winds and hailstorms.

The center called on local governments to take appropriate precautions and fulfill their relevant responsibilities and duties, recommending cutting off electricity supply in dangerous outdoor areas and suspending outdoor work in open areas.

China has a 4-level color-coded weather warning system, with red representing the most dangerous color, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
