Civil Defense: Dealing with 1381 ambulance accidents and 122 fires during the heat wave

Weather of Arabia - Civil Defense cadres dealt with 1,381 ambulance accidents, 122 fires and 126 rescue accidents during the heat wave that the Kingdom is exposed to, according to what the Director of the Ambulance and Humanitarian Support Department in the Civil Defense Directorate, Ahmed Al-Shalloul confirmed.

Al-Shloul said in statements to "Al-Mamlaka", on Monday, that the cadres also dealt with a power transformer fire as a result of excessive loads and high temperatures.

Today, Monday, temperatures will continue to be 8-10 degrees Celsius above average for this time of year.

The weather continues to be hot and dry in general in all regions of the Kingdom, with it becoming very hot for some time in the noon and afternoon hours, when temperatures at that time touch 40 degrees Celsius in some cities, including some neighborhoods of the capital Amman, while the weather is very hot Most of the day is in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, and the temperatures in some of those areas are in the mid-forties, and the humidity levels in the city of Aqaba are high at times, which increases the feeling of heat and tightness.

The Arab Weather Center recommends paying attention to the risks of sunstroke by reducing or avoiding direct and long exposure to the sun, especially during peak hours (noon and afternoon hours).

It is also advised to drink a lot of cold fluids and refreshments, and to pay attention to the need not to leave children inside closed vehicles, even for a short period.

It warns of the dangers of low horizontal visibility in some desert areas as a result of dust.
