Arab Weather - His Majesty King Abdullah II said at the Climate Summit 2022 today: "We were able to increase the Kingdom's contribution to reducing carbon emissions by doubling our goal for 2030, and we are working to encourage green economic partnerships to provide new job opportunities and a future of hope."
As His Majesty stated thus: Jordan's Green Recovery Program runs in parallel with the vision of economic modernization launched by the Kingdom, we are working to invest in our abundant resources of solar and wind energy
He also said: Jordan is a regional leader in the production of clean energy, as 29 percent of electricity is generated through renewable energy, and we aim to reach 50 percent by 2030.
