Closing the joint Al-Khafji field between the Kingdom and Kuwait

ArabiaWeather.com - A number of local media outlets reported the news of the suspension of work in the Al-Khafji oil field, which is located in the maritime border area between the Kingdom and Kuwait, under the management of Aramco and Kuwait Gulf Oil.

Al-Sharq newspaper stated that the reasons behind closing the joint oil field are due to the danger of smoke emissions resulting from the oil field to the surrounding environment, explaining that this decision came after lengthy studies between the two companies.

And the newspaper emphasized that the field will be restarted when the environmental conditions of the General Presidency of Meteorology and Environment are met.
