Weather of Arabia - The expert in the field of weather and meteorology, Khaled Al-Zaaq, provided a detailed explanation about the duration of the winter seasons in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that Al-Murabbaniyah, Scorpions, and Shabat constitute the actual winter seasons during the three months, December, January, and February, as Al-Murabbaniyah ended after forty days, It was characterized by the presence of three stars: the crown, the heart, and the shawl.
Currently, we are living in the Shabat season , which extends over a period of about 26 days , and consists of the first February and the second February. After that, comes the scorpion season, which extends for 39 days, and includes three stars: poison, blood, and fat. Al-Zaaq explained that Al-Murabbaniyah was the first season, as It lasted for forty days, and was distinguished by the presence of three stars: the crown, the heart, and the chowl.
Under this understanding, this trio of squares, scorpions, and scorpions is considered the actual winter season, which lasts over the months of December, January, and February.
The winter season has been called “Shabat” since ancient times, in reference to the period that extends part of it in the month of February, which is a distinction between it and the quadrangular season that extends from the end of December until the end of January, and lasts for 40 days.
The Shabat season is characterized by the formation of frost, while Al-Murabbaniyah is characterized by abundant rain. In the Shabat season, the day witnesses a gradual increase in the lighting period, as the days become longer and the nights shorter, as a result of the Earth’s approach to the vernal equinox. In contrast, the night is much longer than the day in Al-Murabbaniyah. .
If there are clouds in the sky, their colors vary according to the season, as the sky takes on a red color in the Shabat season, while it appears white or dark in the square depending on the type of clouds.
The hail of Shabat remains more severe and harsh than the hail of Al-Murabaniyya, as the hail of Shabat is considered a “cold of the ventricles” , indicating that Al-Murabba’aniyya represents the beginning of the cold, while the hail of Shabat is considered its peak.
