Congo ... floods claim at least 39 lives

Weather Arabs - in the Democratic Republic of Congo , the authorities confirmed that the floods caused the deaths of at least 39 people in the capital Kinshasa Tuesday after heavy prolific rain during the night.

It said rains caused landslides near the University of Kinshasa.

Floods are a common phenomenon in Kinshasa, home to 12 million people, its infrastructure is worn out and has many slums. Floods have rarely killed so many.
