Weather of Arabia - The consequences of climate change are still affecting many regions around the world, as many European countries witnessed during the past days an exceptional storm called “Storm Ciaran”, and Storm Ciaran formed in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and continued to deepen to record quasi-cyclonic values. Before it hits some areas in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and some Western European countries, with strong winds and very heavy rain.

The effects of Storm Ciaran were devastating in many countries, as the death toll from the storm in some European countries rose to 12 people last Friday. The storm also caused major unrest with ports closed and flights cancelled.

Storm "Ciaran", which struck the Atlantic coast, killed five people in Tuscany, north-central Italy, where it caused record rainfall, according to local authorities.

On the other hand, Storm Ciaran disrupted railway traffic in Belgium, especially in the Flanders region, and maritime traffic stopped in the Antwerp port area, while Brussels Airport witnessed many delays.

In France, about a million homes are still without electricity, according to French government spokesman Olivier Veran, while strong winds and rain caused major disturbances in England, with maritime traffic from the port of Dover suspended during the morning, while schools there were closed.

The wind speed in many areas approached 200 km/hour, and in eastern Spain, local authorities reported that a forest fire broke out in the Valencia region, fueled by violent storm winds, where more than 800 people were forced to leave their homes due to the advance of the flames.
