The Winter Valley is considered one of the most important tourist destinations, as it receives tens of thousands of visitors on a weekly basis, and the demand for it increases during the summer holidays. The valley is considered an important tourist landmark thanks to the humidity and coolness of its atmosphere, which makes it an attractive station for tourists who want to enjoy its pleasant atmosphere and discover its beauty.
In the spring, the Winter Valley turns into an amazing aesthetic painting, with a variety of plants and flowers, and the sounds of birds are distinguished by their beauty. The flow of clear springs, views of mountains and valleys, and picturesque plantations give this valley a special attraction.
The road leading to the Winter Valley extends through forests of trees, where there are some trees planted to benefit from their fruits, while some trees grow due to rainwater, and the tree branches intertwine with each other to form arbors that reflect a unique and unparalleled beauty.
The British Colonel Conder likened the Winter Valley to the forests of England in his book in which he recorded his travels in Transjordan in 1881 AD, where he described the landscape saying:
“The views of Wadi Al-Sir and other valleys are a stark contrast to the scenery of the plains, where clear springs flow among the green meadows, and the appearance of waterfalls rushing from the rocky heights dazzles the eye. Here grow brambles, ferns and oak trees that cover the mountain slopes, making them resemble largely forests in England.”
