Al-Farajat said that the authority is always keen to develop and diversify the services provided to tourists in Petra, and the agreement came as a continuation of the authority’s approach in this field, and the flying taxi service is a qualitative addition in this field that attracts visitors, prolongs their stay and enriches their experiences.

Al-Farajat added that the flight will be on the outskirts of the archaeological reserve and at safe heights far from the main path of visitors, pointing out that this experience is used in many World Heritage sites.

For his part, Al-Omari indicated that the Golden Eagle Aviation Academy took the initiative to provide flying taxi services to the children and visitors of the beloved homeland, according to international standards, using modern aircraft that will put this service and this unique experience of its kind for those who wish to enjoy the miracle of Petra from the third dimension.

According to the concluded agreement, the provision of flying taxi services is coupled with the visitor obtaining an entry ticket to the archaeological site in Petra, and it runs according to paths and heights determined by the authority that take into account the privacy of the archaeological site, and it will be during the day only.

The Academy provides customized trips from Amman and Aqaba to Petra. The two parties discussed the possibility of running a regular line to serve business tourism and private trips in the near future.
