Arab Weather - The latest numerical models indicate that the Kingdom will continue to be affected in the coming days by a hot air mass, followed by the rush of a cooler air mass coming from the eastern Mediterranean at the end of the week, which will cause a noticeable drop in temperatures to become lower than their average for this time of year, and spring weather returns over various regions of the Kingdom, especially over the mountains, while it tends to be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the city of Aqaba, coinciding with the appearance of clouds at different altitudes.

Saturday and Sunday, May 24-25, 2025:

Temperatures will rise, reaching 4-6 degrees Celsius above average for this time of year. The weather will be relatively hot in the highlands, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, Aqaba, and the eastern Badia regions. Highs in major cities and the capital, Amman, will range between the early to mid-thirties Celsius, while they may reach the early forties Celsius in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Monday, May 26, 2025:

The Kingdom is increasingly affected by a relatively hot to hot air mass rushing in from the south across the Arabian Peninsula, accompanied by an extension of a high pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere. This will cause temperatures to rise in various regions, and the weather will turn hot in all areas. It will become extremely hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, the city of Aqaba, and the eastern Badia regions.

Tuesday, May 27, 2025:

On Tuesday, the effects of the hot air mass will begin to recede from the western part of the Kingdom, while its influence will remain high in the eastern regions. Temperatures will tend to drop in the western regions, and the weather will be relatively hot in these areas, and extremely hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, Aqaba, and the desert regions of the eastern part of the Kingdom.

The drop in temperature is not limited to the daytime hours. Nighttime temperatures also drop, and the weather becomes pleasant early in the evening, and becomes relatively cold during the late evening and dawn, especially over the high mountains and eastern plains. This calls for attention to the large temperature differences between day and night.

As a result, temperatures will continue to drop and become cooler than average. The weather will be spring-like during the daytime, with clouds appearing at low and medium altitudes. Westerly winds will be active in several areas, causing dust storms in the south and east of the Kingdom.

Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop, and the weather will be cold in the late evening hours and early morning, which necessitates wearing a coat, especially for those living in the highlands. This coincides with a significant increase in surface humidity levels and the spread of low clouds, which may lead to the formation of fog over some high mountainous areas.
