In detail, we start from Thursday 14/8/2025, where there will be a slight, non-significant drop in temperatures, while the Kingdom will remain affected by the heat wave for the seventh consecutive day. The weather will be generally hot in the mountainous highlands, and very hot in the rest of the regions, and temperatures will be above 40 degrees Celsius in large areas, including parts of the capital, Amman. The temperature will also approach the 50-degree Celsius barrier in some areas of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba Governorate.

Friday: A clear decline in the effects of the heat wave, with a significant improvement in the weather late Friday/Saturday night.

The heat wave is expected to significantly decline on Friday, God willing, as temperatures will drop but remain about 4 degrees Celsius higher than their usual average for this time of year. Highs in Amman will be around the mid-30s (after exceeding 40 degrees Celsius for several consecutive days). The weather will be hot in the summer, but less intense than usual. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate in speed, becoming active in the afternoon hours and causing dust in the desert areas and eastern plains.

During the late hours of Friday/Saturday night, there will be a significant improvement in the weather, and minimum temperatures will drop significantly compared to previous nights. The pleasant and refreshing atmosphere will return after a long absence, especially in the hours after midnight and dawn. Humidity levels will also rise significantly, and the weather will be humid with the appearance of low clouds. The winds will be northwesterly and moderate in speed.

The heat wave will completely leave the Kingdom's atmosphere starting Saturday.

Starting Saturday 8/16/2025: The heat wave will leave the Kingdom's atmosphere in general, and a cooler air mass will affect the region.
The weather forecast for Jordan predicts further drops in temperatures starting Saturday, with the heat wave having completely left the Kingdom's atmosphere and being replaced by a cooler air mass coming across the Mediterranean. Temperatures will then drop further to near their average for this time of year, with the weather returning to normal summer weather with temperatures in the early 30s in the capital, Amman, with northwesterly winds active in the afternoon, as was the case before the heat wave.

Nighttime temperatures will also drop further, with humid and pleasant conditions returning to a cool climate across the region, with low clouds appearing.
