From here it becomes clear to us that the eclipse prayer is lawful in this event, and it is a confirmed prophetic Sunnah, and the following is some detail on how to pray the eclipse.
The number of units of the eclipse prayer is two, and it is prayed as follows:
The first rak’ah: The imam says the takbeer and recites al-Fatihah aloud, then recites some of the verses of the Noble Qur’an and makes the recitation at length so as not to make it difficult for the congregation, then kneels like the bowing of the written prayer, then rises from bowing and recites al-Fatihah a second time, then the first few verses from the Qur’an Then he kneels and performs two prostrations, just like the written prayer.
The second rak’ah: he rises for the second rak’ah and does in it as he did in the first rak’ah, and he recites the verses from the Qur’an that are less in length, then recites the tashahhud and gives the salutations. The time of the lunar eclipse prayer is from the moment of the beginning of the eclipse until the clearing of the moon, and it is prayed at any time when the eclipse occurs, of the night or the day, or even during times of prohibition.
