From the Arab Weather Center - The latest computer simulation results indicate that an air mass with temperatures colder than its usual rates will rush towards the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula on Tuesday, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures in those areas, in conjunction with the continued control of a hot air mass over large parts of the Arabian Peninsula, which leads to large temperature differences that affect atmospheric pressure values and thus wind speed.

Countries affected by dust on Tuesday

The latest weather maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate that southwesterly to southeasterly winds are expected to be active in several parts of central and eastern Saudi Arabia, especially north of the Riyadh region administratively and north of the Eastern Region, passing through Kuwait and reaching southeast and eastern Iraq, and some of its gusts will be strong and exceed the 60 km/hour barrier.

These winds cause dust and dirt to be stirred up, sometimes in large quantities, especially in open areas and highways, which leads to a decrease or perhaps near-zero horizontal visibility.

It is worth noting that dust storms are more likely to occur during the fall season, after several months of drought and little rainfall in most parts, in addition to the increased chances of colder air masses rushing in from the eastern Mediterranean and the occurrence of large temperature differences that lead to dust storms.
