Jordan 18 new cases of coronavirus were recorded, including 12 local cases

Injuries, recovery and checks:

Today (18) new cases of coronavirus were recorded, including (12) local cases, and (6) non-local cases, as follows:

- (11) Cases of contacts in the Capital Governorate, including (6) sons of an injured woman, and (5) contacts of an injured doctor.

One case in Ramtha (the wife of a truck driver).

- (5) Injuries to truck drivers coming across the Al-Omari border, one of whom is Jordanian, and the rest of other nationalities were dealt with according to the established protocol.

This brings the total number of cases in the Kingdom to 863.

- (6) cases of recovery were also recorded for this day: (5) in Prince Hamza Hospital, and (1) in King Abdullah University Hospital.

- 5422 laboratory tests were carried out, bringing the total number of examinations conducted to date (240,436).

Other actions:

• The Ministry of Health notes that this is the first time that more than ten local injuries have been recorded since we reached a "moderate severity" level (Azraq), and if more than ten injuries continue to be recorded for seven consecutive days - God forbid - we will return to the level The "average severity" during which the strict measures, the partial ban hours, and the comprehensive curfew will be imposed during the weekend.

• Therefore, the Ministry of Health calls on all citizens to follow the utmost care and caution, and to adhere to health precautions and adherence, wearing masks, and to maintain physical distance, especially in light of the expansion of the opening of the majority of sectors.

• The ministry also calls on all citizens to download the (safety) application and activate it to send alerts to them in the event of contact with or approaching infected persons, and the application has proven its importance in light of being able to reach some contact cases, and accelerate the detection of cases of injury.
