Arab Weather - Computer map outputs indicate that the Kingdom will be affected, God willing, on Thursday by a low-pressure system classified as first degree (lowest) according to the scale of intensity of low-pressure systems adopted by Arab Weather, which will lead to scattered showers of rain in terms of time and geography, in conjunction with a large activity in the speed of winds that stir up dust waves.
This low pressure system will be followed, God willing, by a surge of very cold air mass starting Friday evening and night/Saturday, but it will be without atmospheric activity, so that its effects will be limited to a significant and noticeable drop in temperatures, with an increased risk of frost formation in many areas.
On Thursday, February 26, 2026, Jordan will be affected by a new low-pressure system classified as first-degree (lowest), and the weather will be cold, with a renewed chance of rain - God willing - in scattered areas of the Kingdom, especially the northern ones.
A noticeable increase in wind speed is also expected, with strong gusts stirring up dust in desert areas, in addition to chances of rainfall, especially in the north and center of the Kingdom.
During the night of Thursday/Friday, the weather will be cold, and there is a possibility of local showers of rain in scattered areas of the Kingdom, which will be in the form of hail showers over some of the peaks of the southern mountain ranges at dawn.
On Friday, the low pressure system will move away, but the Kingdom will remain under the influence of cold and humid air currents. Therefore, temperatures will be about 3-5 degrees Celsius colder than average for this time of year. The weather will be cold and partly cloudy, and there will remain a possibility of local showers in some areas, especially the southern ones. The winds will be moderate to brisk northwesterly, increasing the feeling of cold.
Starting from Friday/Saturday night, the Kingdom will be affected by a very cold air mass, and nighttime temperatures will drop significantly compared to previous nights. The atmosphere during the late night and dawn will become very cold in many areas, and minimum temperatures will approach zero degrees Celsius in various desert areas, eastern plains, and mountainous highlands.
This coincides with a decrease in wind speed and a decrease in cloud cover, resulting in clear skies. Consequently, the weather conditions will be favorable, God willing, for the formation of frost in large areas of the Kingdom, God willing.
* Be aware of reduced horizontal visibility in desert areas and roads due to strong winds and sandstorms.
* It is advisable to wear warm clothing.
* Be aware of frost formation overnight and on Saturday morning.
And God knows best.
