Arab Weather - Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Center indicated that the latest advanced computer outputs indicate that the Kingdom will be affected, God willing, during the second week of September by a moderate air mass. Consequently, temperatures will drop to around or slightly below their average for this time of year.
The weather will be cool in the morning as students head back to school, and will be semi-autumnal and mild in most parts of the Kingdom for the rest of the day (continuing to be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba). Low clouds will appear, especially in the north and center of the Kingdom, especially in the early morning hours.
Maximum temperatures will be in the mid-twenties Celsius to slightly higher over the high mountainous areas, including the highlands west of the capital, Amman, while they will reach the late twenties in the rest of the lowlands, and touch the late thirties in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
The latest numerical model outputs indicate that minimum temperatures will drop to between 14 and 17 degrees Celsius over the high mountain peaks and eastern plains, while minimum temperatures will be less than 14 degrees Celsius over the peaks of the Sharah Mountains, amid a relatively cool to cold but refreshing atmosphere.
Humid air currents from the Mediterranean are expected to sweep in during these nights, with humidity levels rising to over 90% in some parts of the Kingdom. The weather will be remarkably humid with low clouds and the possibility of fog forming over some mountainous areas, especially in the northern regions.
The weather then (i.e., after midnight and early morning) becomes unsuitable for outdoor gatherings due to the combination of cool conditions and high relative humidity, as well as occasional active northwesterly winds. Therefore, "Arabia Weather" advises school students to wear a light coat to accommodate the relatively cool weather during the dawn and early morning hours.
And God knows best.
