Arab Weather - The heat wave has completely left the Kingdom today, replaced by a cooler air mass coming from the Mediterranean. As a result, temperatures are expected to drop further, approaching their usual levels for this time of year.
Normal summer weather prevailed, with the capital Amman recording temperatures in the early 30s, while northwesterly winds picked up in the afternoon, as was the case before the heat wave struck.
Initially, God willing, the Kingdom's influence is expected to increase tonight, Saturday/Sunday night, with marine air currents, leading to a drop in minimum temperatures, with temperature differences between day and night reaching around 10 degrees Celsius. Pleasant weather will prevail, tending to be unusually cold in the heart of summer in several regions of the Kingdom, especially the high mountainous heights and the eastern plains, which may require wearing a coat.
Surface humidity levels are rising significantly, with low clouds appearing particularly in the northern regions, leading to fog forming over the high mountain peaks of Ajloun Governorate, particularly the Ras Munif area.
God willing, the Kingdom is expected to be further affected on Sunday by cooler sea air currents, which will cause a further drop in temperatures, to be around or slightly lower than their average for this time of year, with further improvement in the weather in various regions of the Kingdom. The weather will be typical summer weather, with scattered clouds appearing from time to time, and the winds will be northwesterly and moderate in speed, sometimes picking up in the afternoon hours.
Mountainous highlands and eastern plains: 29 to 32°C.
Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba areas: 38 to 40 degrees Celsius.
Southern and eastern Badia regions: from 37 to 39 degrees Celsius.
During the night hours of Sunday/Monday, minimum temperatures will continue to drop further, so that the weather will be very pleasant during the night hours, but it will tend to be cold during the late night hours and dawn, especially over the high mountainous areas and the eastern plains regions. Surface humidity levels will rise significantly again, with the appearance of low clouds, especially in the northern regions, which will lead to the formation of fog over the high mountain peaks of Ajloun Governorate.
And God knows best.
