The Mayor of Ma’an warned that the dam has reached its maximum storage capacity during the last depression, which amounts to about 750,000 cubic meters. It is one of the desert dams that was established in 2011 to stave off floods from the population centers in the area, and to benefit from its water in the agricultural sector.
