Jordan: Cold weather and rain expected in many parts of the Kingdom mid-week (details)

Arab Weather App - Weather experts at the Arab Weather App said that the latest readings from what is called computer simulation indicate the rush of a cold air mass towards the region, which may be the coldest in several months (i.e., since last spring) to the Levant region and the Arabian Peninsula starting from Monday 15/12/2025. This air mass coincides with the rush of a cold trough in the upper layers of the atmosphere and the flow of moist westerly air currents, which will cause the emergence of a new rainy situation, God willing.

In detail, temperatures on Sunday, December 14, 2025, will remain about two degrees Celsius below their usual climatic averages. The weather will be cold and foggy in the morning hours in several areas of the eastern plains, including parts of the desert road. During the rest of the day, the weather will be relatively cold with clouds appearing at different altitudes. There is a possibility of local showers in very limited areas during the afternoon and evening hours.

A colder-than-usual air mass will affect the Kingdom starting Monday, bringing showers later in the day, concentrated in the southern regions.

God willing, the Kingdom is expected to be affected starting Monday by an air mass with colder than usual temperatures, possibly the coldest in several months, as temperatures will drop during the day on Monday, the weather will be generally cold, and the winds will be light to moderate southwesterly.

During the late afternoon, the Kingdom will be gradually affected by a rainy weather system, as cloud cover increases and the weather becomes unsettled, ranging from partly cloudy to cloudy. The chances of rain gradually increase in several areas of the Kingdom. The weather will be very cold, God willing, with continued chances of rain in some areas, especially the southern and eastern regions.

Wednesday: Temperatures will drop further, and cold, dry northeasterly winds will significantly increase the feeling of cold.

Computer simulation results indicate that the cold air mass will continue to affect the Kingdom on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, resulting in noticeably cold weather, with a further drop in temperatures, especially those felt by the human body, due to the cold and dry northeasterly winds, which in turn double the feeling of cold, especially in the early morning hours, with continued chances of rain showers, especially in the eastern desert regions.

During the night, Wednesday/Thursday night and Thursday morning, the weather will become very cold in large areas of the Kingdom, with temperatures dropping below 5 degrees Celsius, especially in the desert and eastern plains regions.
