Weather of Arabia - With the Kingdom starting to be affected at noon and afternoon by a third-degree air depression and a very cold air mass of polar origin, it is expected that during the noon and afternoon hours, intermittent showers of snow will fall over the peaks of the Ajloun and Jerash mountains.

However, with the effects of the depression temporarily receding on the night of Wednesday/Thursday, it is not excluded that showers of snow will fall over parts of the northern and central mountainous heights with a height of more than 1,000.

The best chance of snowfall will be on Thursday

With the Kingdom becoming more affected by the depression and the very cold air mass on Thursday, it is expected that showers of snow will fall in the morning over the high mountainous heights of more than 1,000 meters above sea level in the north and center of the Kingdom, while snow is expected to continue over the peaks of Jerash and Ajloun mountains. The high altitudes remain for the rest of the day, while the snow becomes mixed with rain in the mountains of the capital and Balqa.

It is possible that intermittent showers of snow will fall over the peaks of the Sharah Mountains in the south of the Kingdom during the morning and late morning hours, and the chances of precipitation will decrease for the rest of the day.

It is also not excluded that limited accumulations of snow will occur over the peaks of the Ajloun and Jerash mountains during daylight hours, and the chances of accumulation include Ras Munif specifically in Ajloun, in addition to Sof in Jerash.

However, with the Thursday/Friday night hours, snow showers continue to fall at intervals in the northern heights of more than 1,000 meters, and the chances of snow showers return to improve over the central regions, which are more than 1,000 meters above sea level, and include, including the capital and high survival peaks. .

And if the rains extend to the southern regions, they will be in the form of spotty showers of snow over some peaks of the Sharah Mountains.

Snowfall in the second half of March is considered a rare and unusual weather event

Although there are chances of snow showers falling over the mountain peaks of the Kingdom in the coming days, no snow is expected in the general sense, but despite that, there are snowfalls in the second half of March, which is considered a rare and unusual weather event for this time of the year.
