Arab Weather - God willing, the Kingdom is expected to continue to be affected by the heat wave that began affecting the Kingdom last Friday until the end of the week. According to the latest weather maps, the heat wave will reach its peak on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and the intensity of the heat wave will escalate at an accelerated pace, with temperatures rising to exceptional and perhaps record levels.
Arab Weather forecasters said that forecasts indicate that the center of the blazing air mass will approach the Kingdom at an unprecedented pace on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This will bring a further rise in temperatures, potentially reaching unprecedented levels and breaking previous records.
The Kingdom remains under the influence of a prolonged and arduous heat wave today, with temperatures set to rise further, reaching 10-12 degrees Celsius above normal.
The weather will turn extremely hot and dry in the highlands and generally scorching in the rest of the Kingdom. Temperatures are expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius in many Jordanian villages and cities, including the capital, Amman, for the fifth consecutive day. Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to approach the late 40s in some areas of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba Governorate.
As the day progresses, medium and high clouds increase, and in the afternoon and evening hours, the opportunity arises for some clouds to develop into cumulus clouds in random areas, especially in the desert and eastern plains, which leads to thunder, lightning and sudden descending winds that lead to the formation of wall-mounted dust storms that lead to a decrease and absence of horizontal visibility. These cumulus clouds are also accompanied by random showers of rain in narrow geographical areas, which may be heavy in limited areas, leading to the flow of valleys and desert ravines in a manner that is considered extremely rare for this time of year in the summer.
It is not unlikely that some of the sandstorms will extend their effects to some major cities, including parts of the capital.
The scorching center of the unprecedentedly hot air mass continues to position itself near the Kingdom, causing the heat wave to reach unprecedented levels, with fears that many of the record temperatures previously recorded at several monitoring stations in the Kingdom could be broken.
Temperatures are rising to exceptional and perhaps record levels, exceeding their general average by a significant margin of 12-13 degrees Celsius, which intensifies the sensation of heat and increases its unusual intensity.
The weather will turn hot and dry in an unprecedented manner in most parts of the Kingdom, with temperatures approaching the mid-forties in many Jordanian villages and cities, including parts of the capital, Amman, with fears that many of the record temperatures previously recorded at several monitoring stations in the Kingdom will be broken. Temperatures may also reach nearly 50 degrees Celsius in some areas of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba Governorate.
There will still be opportunities on Wednesday for the accumulation of medium and high clouds, and in the afternoon and evening hours the opportunity will be available for some clouds to develop into cumulus clouds in random areas, especially in the desert and eastern plains, which will be accompanied by thunder, lightning and sudden descending winds that lead to the formation of wall-mounted dust storms that lead to a decrease and absence of horizontal visibility. These cumulus clouds will also be accompanied by random showers of rain in narrow geographical areas, which may be heavy in limited areas, leading to the flow of valleys and desert ravines in a manner that is considered very rare for this time of year in the summer.
