Arab Weather - The latest weather maps indicate that radical changes in the weather will occur starting from the morning hours of Friday, as the Kingdom is expected to be affected by a low-pressure system that has been classified by the weather forecasting team at Arab Weather as a third-degree low-pressure system.
Accordingly, God willing, a sharp and significant drop in temperatures is expected on Friday, as a cold and humid air front crosses the Kingdom's skies. Therefore, the weather will be noticeably cold and generally cloudy, with rain falling over several parts of the Kingdom, sometimes heavy and accompanied by hail showers, leading to the flow of valleys and streams and the occurrence of water accumulations in many areas, including the governorates of Karak and Tafila.
During this time, the Kingdom is expected to be affected by moderate southwesterly to westerly winds during the morning hours, gradually becoming more active and accompanied by strong gusts during the afternoon and evening hours, stirring up dust and sand in desert areas, which increases the risk of reduced horizontal visibility.
As the night progresses, the cold front will complete its passage and the intensity of rainfall will decrease. The weather will remain cold and cloudy with intermittent rain, God willing. Low-lying clouds are expected to pass through, and fog is expected to form during the late night and early morning in the mountainous highlands. The intensity of rainfall will gradually decrease during the late night and dawn hours in all regions, although it remains possible. Strong winds will blow across the Kingdom, particularly in the southern highlands, specifically the Sharah Mountains, accompanied by severe gusts in those areas that may exceed 100 km/h.
On Saturday, the low-pressure system will move away from the Kingdom's atmosphere, but the weather will remain cold and partly to mostly cloudy. There is a chance of rain showers in some areas, and fog may form in the morning in the mountainous regions, which will reduce horizontal visibility. God knows best.
These weather conditions necessitate:
Be aware of the formation of flash floods and the gradual rise in water levels during the day and the early hours of the night.
Be aware of reduced horizontal visibility due to heavy rain.
Beware of reduced horizontal visibility on desert roads and eastern plains due to sandstorms and strong winds.
Secure any movable property in desert areas and the southern highlands (Al-Sharah) due to increased wind activity during the afternoon and evening hours.
Drive carefully on mountain roads where fog forms, which may be dense and impactful during the late night.
