Arab Weather - The Arab Weather Center's weather forecasting team is monitoring the developments of a rainstorm that has formed in the central Mediterranean. The storm is the result of a low-pressure system accompanied by very cold air masses. This storm is directly impacting Italy, Greece, and the Balkan countries, while its indirect effects are being felt in the eastern Mediterranean region, including Jordan. These effects include increased temperature fluctuations in the coming days.
Scientifically speaking, weather systems in the Northern Hemisphere are interconnected, with the relationship between the shape of weather systems in southern Europe and the Maghreb countries being inversely related. For the countries of the eastern Mediterranean basin to be affected by low-pressure systems and winter systems, a high-pressure system must be centered over southwestern Europe and the Maghreb countries.
However, in the current situation, the cold winds rushing towards the aforementioned regions are causing warm winds to shift from the north of the Arabian Peninsula towards the eastern Mediterranean countries, including Jordan. This results in higher temperatures and a summer-like atmosphere during the daytime, with bright sunshine as a result of the dominance of high-pressure systems in the upper atmosphere.
We ask God to send us rain and not make us among the despairing.
And God knows best.
