Arab Weather - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing said, on Tuesday, that the work of a campaign to clean manholes, rainwater drainage networks and valley streams has been completed, within the jurisdiction of the various governorates of the Kingdom, in preparation for the winter season.

The ministry added, in a press statement, that a number of rainwater drainage ferries were rehabilitated and maintained, and new ones were established, in addition to the construction of rainwater drainage lines and retaining walls.

She affirmed her readiness to deal with all weather conditions through her implementation plan, noting that she had jointly prepared a coordinated national plan to face unusual conditions under the umbrella of the National Center for Security and Crisis Management and in cooperation with all relevant government agencies.

She indicated that an emergency plan for each governorate, and a joint emergency plan that included all governorates, was adopted, to ensure the sustainability of services provided to citizens, and to address any observations immediately.

The ministry stressed that emergency plans focus on removing any obstacles on the main and secondary roads immediately, especially the roads leading to hospitals, schools and universities, during any weather conditions accompanying the winter season.

And she indicated that the number of field emergency teams equipped with the necessary equipment has been raised this year to 106 trained field teams to deal with all weather conditions, indicating that the number of the mechanisms it is affiliated with is 350.

She noted that the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Yahya al-Kasabi, granted directors of directorates and offices the powers to rent vehicles from the private sector according to their assessment and need during weather conditions, while quantities of salt were prepared and distributed to all governorates; To be approved and stored for use in case the need arises.
