Jordan | Mafraq records 5 degrees Celsius below zero this morning, Wednesday

Arab Weather - The weather station of the Jordanian Meteorological Department in Mafraq Governorate recorded extremely low temperatures, reaching 5 degrees Celsius below zero shortly after sunrise on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Arab Weather had warned of the Kingdom being affected by the extension of the Siberian high pressure system, and the drop in temperatures to very low levels, reaching zero degrees Celsius and below in several regions of the Kingdom, especially the eastern parts of it.

Arab Weather advised farmers and farm owners to take the necessary precautions during the night and early morning hours, when the cold is at its highest levels.
