Arab Weather - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation said that the rainfall associated with the recent snowy depression raised the volume of cumulative rain falling from the beginning of the season on all governorates of the Kingdom until Friday morning to (52%) of the long-term annual average of (8.1 billion m3), The highest percentage of precipitation during the past 24 hours was recorded in the capital / Ministry of Water and Irrigation station (65,4 mm).

 

She explained that the total quantities of water entering the main dams amounted from the beginning of the last depression to (5.5) million m3 of which entered during the past 24 hours (3) million m3. Most of it was recorded in King Talal Dam with a capacity of (2) million m3, while the southern dams were not registered Any quantities entered into it during the past hours.

 

Regarding precipitation during the past 24 hours, Amman recorded 43.9 mm, Balqa 19.9 mm, Madaba 17.1 mm, Zarqa 5.2 mm, Jerash 21.8 mm, Mafraq 5.7 mm, Irbid 7.3 mm, Ajloun 28 mm, Karak 7.4 mm, Tafila 5.1 mm, Ma'an 1 mm, Aqaba did not record any precipitation.

 

The ministry noted that as a result of the expectations of freezing and the flow of quantities of water from the roofs of houses as a result of melting snow, it appeals to everyone to ensure that rainwater gutters are not connected to sewage networks, and to ensure the effectiveness of submersible pumps, protect water meters and household water facilities from freezing and stay away from sewers. torrents and valleys.
