Weather of Arabia - Summary of daily briefing on Corona virus developments in Jordan

The statements of the Minister of Information Affairs, Amjad Al-Adayleh:

Today, and contrary to what we are used to during the previous comprehensive curfew days, we present the press briefing from the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, because we will announce the plan for the return of Jordanian students abroad, in compliance with the directives of His Majesty our master to expedite its completion, and His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs will announce its details shortly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, in cooperation with the Crisis Cell, has made strenuous efforts during the past days, and its meetings have been held since yesterday until this plan is elaborated and implemented, so that we can announce it today,

Given the state of waiting and anxiety experienced by Jordanian students who wish to return to the homeland, and from whom we received hundreds of calls and messages every day from them to inquire about the mechanism of their return.

The Crisis Cell discussed the field procedures that will be applied during the holy month of Ramadan, including the hours during which citizens will be allowed to exit to secure their essential needs, as well as the times for the authorized stores to open their doors.

During the next few days, we will announce a series of measures and decisions related to this matter. We will also announce a set of guidelines regarding social customs and Ramadan rituals during the holy month.

Today we have witnessed, with praise التزام, a commitment to the decision to ban the total curfew from the vast majority of citizens, and there are a limited number of violations that were dealt with within the provisions of the law.

Sisters and brothers extend our gratitude and appreciation to their citizens for their commitment, and we stress the necessity of commitment tomorrow, and in the coming days, even if the number of casualties falls during the past days.

We also call on the brotherhood of citizens in the governorate of Aqaba to adhere to and observe safety and prevention instructions during the coming days, after they were allowed to move and use their vehicles, starting next Sunday between the hours of ten in the morning until six in the evening.

We confirm that in case of monitoring violations, we will return to tighten the procedures again, and we want the Aqaba Governorate to be an example for other governorates in which the ban procedures will be modified. With confirmation that there is a tendency to amend procedures in other governorates, where no cases of infection were recorded during the next week.

We will also start operating some productive economic sectors gradually, based on specific criteria and requirements related to strict safety and prevention measures, within the government's plans to sustain work in these sectors.

Regarding the government program to support daily workers, I would like to point out that the application has started through the online platform of the National Aid Fund (http://reg.takmeely.jo) and the process of disbursing the support to those who are eligible will begin as of next Wednesday, 4/22/2020.

I would also like to refer to the three programs launched by the General Organization for Social Security yesterday, which are symbiotic programs to protect the national economy and citizens and support employment, and ensure the sustainability of the private sector during the current exceptional circumstances,

Application to benefit from these programs will begin next Tuesday, and all details are published on the Foundation's website, and our official media platforms.

Before concluding, I would like to emphasize that this is a time of solidarity and solidarity, and in such circumstances the best values of solidarity are evident, in order to cross into safety, and we are confident that Jordanians are better than embodying these values on the ground.

May God protect you, your health and your loved ones, and protect the nation and its leadership and humanity as a whole from the evil of this epidemic. We are at your service, and our success is with your commitment. "

The statements of the Foreign Minister, Ayman al-Safadi, came accordingly regarding the return of students from abroad:

In implementation of the directives of His Majesty our Master, may God protect him; working to develop a comprehensive, fair and studied plan to ensure the safe return of our student students abroad, the government has worked over the past days; all government agencies involved in cooperation with the Crisis Cell, the armed forces, security services, intelligence, public security, interior and all concerned parties to To come up with a mechanism to ensure a gradual and safe return of our students, in harmony with the preventive measures that are necessary for all of us, and the rule that we started from is the rule or priority set by His Majesty the King is to protect the health of our citizens inside the Kingdom and outside the Kingdom

We will start with a step-by-step plan whose main determinants are the ability to ensure the health and safety of the students who will be transferred, as well as the preventive measures available in the Kingdom, and a website / electronic platform http://safelyhome.gov.jo will now be launched so that students begin enrolling in it.

We will give 3/4 days how long our student students can register on this platform, and then we will start sorting it as a priority. I will present it to you now and after that we announce flights in order to transport students to the homeland.

The numbers of Jordanians outside the country are large, and the guidance that the Ministry of Health and the relevant health authorities provided us with is that everyone who can stay at home has served himself, served his country, avoided his family, and avoided himself the risk of injury, God forbid.

There is a risk in moving from the place of residence to the airport and also a risk in moving in the plane to the homeland and then moving from the airport to the place of stone, so the health guidelines that came to us and our advice to all our people that everyone who can stay where he is at the current stage at least is A better guarantee of his health and the health of his family, but whoever wishes to return will work with all our capabilities to ensure a safe, secure and graduated return and there will be priorities; approximately 35,000 Jordanian students study outside the Kingdom

We will give priority to our daughters, the students will complete the registration process, and upon screening, the priority will be for female students after that, graduates and first year students, and then the rest of the students, the priority will also be for school students. Also to give priority to those stranded, i.e., who were on short visits or dispatched, and because of the circumstances that the entire world suffers from, were forced to stay outside the Kingdom.

After the registration process, we will sort and send to everyone who is among the priority who will send him a code and use this code in booking a ticket to return to the homeland, through also sites and addresses will be announced.

For everyone who returns will be subject to preventive measures and there will be places for stone in hotels and places of public stone, the stone area will be in the Dead Sea region and everyone who returns will buy a ticket from the lines or locations that will be announced and he will also have to cover the cost of accommodation in hotels or in public places of stone Stakeholders have spoken to hotels and have obtained minimum and very preferential rates to alleviate this burden and will be announced on the site as well. For public places of stone the cost is minimal, and the government will cover everyone who proves that it is not able to cover staying in public places.

So after 3-4 days we finish the screening process until we give a range for students to register and then announce flights that students are in. The priority will be for countries where conditions are more difficult and where there is a large presence of the number of students and we will include in their deportation and there are limitations such as availability of places and priority to ensure their health and health Those who will return to them from their family, and there are also limitations outside the homeland regarding the availability of airports and the ability to transport safely to citizens from their places of residence to the airport. This is a brief summary of the mechanism that we will follow and evaluate the first experience and evaluate our work continuously to provide the best for our children abroad.

This came the statements of Minister of Health Dr. Saad Jaber about the developments of the virus Corona as follows:

"In the past two days, 15 cases of recovery were recorded in the Kingdom, 9 cases were yesterday and 6 cases today, so the number of yen recovered, while today, 5 cases were recorded, which are contact cases; two cases were in contact with the infected mother, and the case of her husband is injured. The case was tracked and a case was also injured. One of the truck drivers we follow is Powell and I invite all of them to go to the testing centers and these truck drivers who entered after the first of this year forget to be counted.

Likewise, coordination was previously made with the dental and human medicine unions to open their clinics next Sunday, but due to the appearance of numerous reports stating that opening the clinics without prior coordination may lead to the spread of the epidemic further and to lay the foundations, this was postponed by the crisis cell and will be announced later on the date of the clinic's opening Coinciding with the opening of some other economic activities.

Also today, the Ministry of Health was visiting some governorates of the south, and the commitment was very high and everyone committed to his home and this explains the very small percentage of injuries, which is something that encourages all of us in the future. Washing hands ... God protect the homeland and protect its leadership and peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.
