Arab Weather - Weather maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate that hot air will continue to affect the Kingdom on Saturday, before it begins to withdraw from the western regions of the Kingdom as a result of the arrival of a moderate air mass in eastern Europe. Its effects will reach the eastern Mediterranean, including Jordan, and will hopefully lower temperatures on Sunday and Monday.
On Saturday, the Kingdom will continue to be affected by a relatively hot air mass coming from the Arabian Peninsula. As a result, temperatures will remain above their average for this time of year, with relatively hot weather expected in the western and mountainous regions of the Kingdom, and hot to extremely hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, the city of Aqaba, and the eastern Badia.
God willing, the Kingdom is expected to be affected on Sunday and Monday by the infiltration of cooler winds coming from the eastern Mediterranean basin, which will lead to a drop in temperatures to around their usual rates for this time of year. As a result, the weather will return to being moderate summer weather over the mountains, and normal summer weather in the rest of the regions with the dispersal of low clouds, while it will remain hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, Aqaba and the Badia regions, but with less intensity than the situation these days.
Temperatures in the capital, Amman, on Sunday and Monday will range between 30 and 33 degrees Celsius, while they will approach 40 degrees Celsius in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, God willing.
Northwesterly winds will blow across the Kingdom on Sunday and Monday, becoming brisk during the afternoon and evening hours. They will be accompanied by strong gusts at times, particularly in high mountainous areas and exposed areas. This could stir up dust and sand in the desert regions of the Kingdom.
The weather will be pleasant throughout the night across the Kingdom, making it suitable for outdoor seating, especially in low-lying areas. The weather will tend to be slightly cooler in most areas after midnight, particularly over the high mountainous areas and eastern plains, with low clouds appearing in the north of the Kingdom.
Hot air will return to the Kingdom on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17-18, 2025, with temperatures rising again, bringing normal to relatively hot summer weather across various regions, and hot weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
It's worth noting that temperatures are likely to drop again by the end of this week, but the weather will remain typical summer weather, with heat waves continuing to be absent from the Kingdom, thankfully.
And God knows best.
