Jordan | The Public Security Directorate warns of the expected depression

Arab Weather - The Public Security Directorate warned of the expected depression on Sunday 11/19/2023, which may be accompanied by heavy rainfall, and low horizontal visibility due to winds stirring dust and dirt.

The Directorate stressed the need to follow the bulletins issued by the Directorate of Public Security and the concerned authorities, and follow the following advice and instructions:

• Stay away from the sides of valleys, places where floods form, and low-lying areas, including the Dead Sea area.
• Inspect vehicles, adhere to traffic rules, and avoid committing traffic violations.
• Moving from low places to higher, safer places, especially for those living in mobile housing units.
• Do not risk crossing the road, whether on foot or vehicles, in the event of high water levels.
• Take caution on outdoor roads that will witness rain, and stay away from high speeds.
• The safe use of all types of heating means if they are turned on and the house is ventilated from time to time.
• Risk of reduced horizontal visibility; Due to dust in the desert regions or due to low clouds touching the surface of the earth above the mountain highlands.
• Take caution due to the high speed of the wind and the gusts accompanying it, and secure volatile objects
• Do not hesitate to call the unified emergency number (911) if the need arises
