Jordan: Thunderstorms, extremely rare for this time of summer, bring rain to areas in the south and east of the Kingdom.

Arab Weather - Satellite images within the Arab Weather app indicate continued development of thunderstorms over parts of the southern and eastern parts of the Kingdom, including the Ma'an and Quweira regions, as well as eastern Mafraq and the Amman-Baghdad International Highway.

These clouds are accompanied by heavy rain in some areas, possibly accompanied by localized hail and strong thunderstorms. Sudden downward winds are also likely, which could lead to the formation of dust storms that could reduce or even eliminate horizontal visibility, especially in desert areas.

According to Jafranews, Ma'an Governorate is experiencing heavy thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds, which have led to rising water levels and the formation of puddles in the city's main and side streets.

Citizens said that Ma'an has not witnessed such heavy rains for years, but we thank God for the blessing of rain.
