Jordan | Zarqa Ma'in Dam in Madaba is full for the first time since its construction, and urgent flood warnings have been issued.

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation – Jordan Valley Authority announced on Friday that the Zarqa Ma’in Dam in Madaba Governorate has reached its full storage capacity of 2 million cubic meters for the first time since its construction, which means that excess water will begin to flow through the natural spillway in the coming hours.

The authority warned citizens, farmers, and residents in the low-lying areas below the dam of the danger of approaching flood channels and valleys, calling for the utmost caution and full compliance with instructions issued by the competent authorities to protect lives and property.
