Arab Weather - The Jordanian National Electricity Company recorded an increase in electricity demand on Monday, reaching 4,700 megawatts at 7:44 PM, amid the heat wave sweeping the Kingdom .

The company's general manager, Sufyan Al-Batayneh, previously stated that the company, as part of specific plans, is increasing its readiness to handle electrical loads during a heat wave. In such cases, it implements appropriate operational plans and monitors the readiness of power plants to accommodate the expected demand for electricity.
He added that the Kingdom's electrical system, both at the transmission and generation levels, has increased its readiness to meet the growing demand for electricity, stressing that the company has completed its periodic and preventative maintenance programs, backed by sufficient generating capacity to accommodate the loads resulting from rising temperatures.
