Arab Weather - The Kingdom was affected, thank God, by a low-pressure system classified as a third-degree (medium-high effectiveness), and heavy rains fell on various regions of the Kingdom, with heavy hail and thunderstorms at times. Snow also fell for the first time this season during the dawn hours and morning of Thursday 6/2/2025 on the peaks of the northern mountains in the governorates of Ajloun and Jerash, specifically the Suf and Ras Munif areas. The snowfall also included the peaks of Tafilah and Ash-Sharah in the south of the Kingdom, including Al-Rashidiyah.

This was reported by Arab Weather delegates through the field monitoring process, stating the recorded snow thicknesses during this morning. The snow thicknesses in the peaks of Ajloun and Jerash ranged from 1-3 cm, while the snow thicknesses were higher in the peaks of the Tafilah Mountains from 3-6 cm, and 1-4 cm in Sharah. These accumulations are generally limited.

As for the rest of the regions, thank God, the low pressure system recorded good amounts of rain that worked to relatively adjust the performance of the rainy season. The highest amounts of rain were in the north of the Kingdom, ranging from 40-80 mm of rain, followed by the central region and the capital Amman, between 35-60 mm. The southern regions, specifically Madaba and Karak, also received good amounts of rain, ranging from 25-55 mm of rain, thank God.
