Lighting 50 homes in Ajloun using solar energy

ArabiaWeather.com- The Green Valley of Arjan Cooperative Society lit 50 houses in the town of Arjan, Ajloun Governorate, using solar energy .

The head of the association, Ghannam Dweikat, said that the monthly household electricity bill decreased by 75%-80%, and 75 solar heaters were installed for citizens in the field of energy conservation, and 700 light bulbs were installed to save energy for citizens, schools, mosques, and the health center.

The association established 96 water harvesting tanks with a capacity of 32m3-90m3 for citizens in the town of Arjan for the purposes of drinking or supplementary irrigation for farms, and installed 500 water-saving units for citizens to contribute to water rationalization, and 200 other units for mosques, schools and the health center, and the establishment of a water collection tank of 60m3 and a unit. Dwekat indicated that the association established a plastic house (three-purpose) as an experiment, which is the third in the Middle East, on the roof of a house, to produce vegetables and raise fish, and to benefit from hot air in the winter season for the purposes of heating the house by transferring hot air by means of a hose into the house.
