The Arab Weather app has predicted in its latest update that both Taif and Makkah Al-Mukarramah will be under the direct influence of weather fluctuations this afternoon and evening, Sunday, August 10, 2025, which are expected to impact many regions of the Kingdom, God willing.

Thunderstorms expected in Taif and Makkah

It is expected that the direct impact of the weather instability will begin over Taif first, followed by Makkah Al-Mukarramah—especially its eastern parts—starting from the hours after midday and into the afternoon today, Sunday. Cumulonimbus thunderclouds are forecast to develop, gradually increasing the chances of thunder showers, some of which may be locally heavy, and may be accompanied by hail showers and gusty downdraft winds.

The Arab Weather app recommends the following:

  • Beware of severe thunderstorms sometimes.
  • The risk of crossing valleys and torrents
